This week's Booking Through Thursday is a follow-up to last week's on unread books: "Do you keep all your unread books together, like books in a waiting room? Or are they scattered throughout your shelves, mingling like party-goers waiting for the host to come along?"
Mine are of the scattered variety, mostly because I haven't gotten around to sorting my books yet. The bookcase in our "fun room" (computer/video game area) is sorted and has a shelf of non-fiction, a shelf of favorite books/prettiest books, and a shelf of Harry Potter and Wheel of Time books because they're so hefty they have to go at the bottom of some shelf. Of these, there are a few on each shelf I haven't yet read. In our spare room, I've filled another bookcase and a half with books placed pretty much randomly; I think my weekend task will be to sort them. But probably about half of those books are yet to be read and when they are sorted I'll likely put them together on a shelf for easier access.
