Today's Booking Through Thursday is a simple question, or is it? "What’s the funniest book you’ve read recently?"
Paging through my blog, I am noticing that I haven't read any, say, "officially" funny books in a while. The last set of humorous short stories I read was Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim back in May. It was pretty funny in parts, not so much in others, you know.
But in the category of "books that aren't only funny but have good chuckle-y parts" there's The Android's Dream, which was pretty entertaining and had me giggling at the sheer absurdity of it all.
Maybe I should read another "officially" funny book. Any recommendations?

Sedaris is accepted as hilarious literature.
Howevr, if you want straight up funny? Pick up anything by Christopher Moore. I'm particular to "Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal" and "The Stupidest Angel: A Christmas Story" myself.

I love Christopher Moore! Lamb is hilarious. I am also partial to Fluke and Island of the Sequined Love Nun or some similar title.

Yes, I guess I haven't read many "officially" funny books lately either. I'll have to take a look at "Corduroy and Denim" - I must be one of the only people around who hasn't read any Sedaris yet.

I liked Funny in Farsi. It's funny, but not bust your gut hilarious. Check it out.
